Sabinillas market reopens this Sunday

Sunday Market

Following the temporary closure of the Sunday market the Mayor of Manilva Mario Jiménez, and the councillor for commerce, Dean Shelton, met with Antonio Rodríguez, Juan Rojas, and Rafael González, representing various market traders’ associations from Malaga and the Campo de Gibraltar to resolve a number of issues relating to the Sunday market at the Manilva Fairground site.

Following discussions it was agreed that the stallholders take responsibility for leaving their pitches in the same state of the cleanliness that they find it in at the start of the day, and that they could be subject to sanctions if they fail to do so.

As a result of this undertaking the council has agreed to reopen the market for business from this Sunday 3 March.

  1. Fantastic news. I have been visiting for over 10 years as my family live there. A great market.
