Manilva celebrates its XIII International Festival and Family Day on Saturday, May 18, beginning at 12.30 pm.
The event, which is organised by the Residents Department, in collaboration with the Virgen del Carmen Brotherhood and Adana, dog charity, will be held in and around the Castle in Castillo de la Duquesa.
Some 25 nationalities, which form part of Manilva’s multicultural community, will present their traditions, music and cuisine, to the many visitors who will enjoy the event
Among the performances are:
Baile Malambo from Argentina with Marcelo, Valeria and Fernando.
Fraternidad Artística Salay Cochabamba from Bolivia.
Manilva Municipal School of Dance.
Mamum from India.
Jessica Quiñones School of Corporal Expression.
‘H’ Singer from Colombia.
Mulatas and Capoeira from Brazil
Tezaurul Carpatilor (Tesoro de los Cárpatos) from Romania.
Love to Sing Choir.
At the same time in the parque del Huerto park next to the Castle there will be various family activities including bouncy castles, balloon modelling, face painting along with children’s entertainers.
Later at 10 pm in the Castle Ivan Gonzalo will present his tribute to Michael Jackson.
Recognized by the King of Pop’s family as one of the five best tribute dancers in Europe, this free concert will be a perfect end to the day.
