Estepona will be the motor racing capital again this weekend, when the Peñas Blancas mountain is the venue for the Andalucia Hill Climb and Spanish Championships guaranteeing some thrilling motor sport.
The town’s Avenida de España will become the competition’s operations base with workshops and and registration point from 2.30 pm.
From 3.30 pm all entrant’s vehicles are subject to the technical verification process after which they proceed to the parc ferme on the seafront where visitors can get a good look at the cars.
From 10 am to 6.30 pm there are practice sessions and the first race will be run.
The starting point is in Avenida de los Reales, heads up the mountain, and finishes some 7.5 kms away at the Peñas Blancas pass.
The official presentation and display of the vehicles will be on Saturday at 8 pm on Calle Real and Calle Terraza.
From 7.30 am to 3 pm more training sessions, followed by the second and third races after which there will be an award ceremony in the town centre.
