During September, Guaro becomes a focal point for Andalucian music and culture, celebrating the historical and cultural relationship between the three dominant influences of the Middle Ages in the town: Islam, Christianity, and the Sephardic Jews.
With the only lighting coming from some 20,000 candles Arabo-Andalucian-Sephardic music from five centuries ago takes to the streets and squares of this town.
In the main square of the medieval souk, lit only with candles, artisans dressed in Moorish costume offer their wares from dusk until dawn.
