Where will all the stalwart walkers in the area be on Sunday March 25th at 11.00? Hopefully starting in the annual Age Concern sponsored walk along the Paseo Maritimo, Estepona, from the old fishermen’s cottages to the Post Office (Correos) and back - and walk it again - in fact as many laps as they feel able to walk in a maximum of two hours
Walkers are being asked to find as many sponsors as possible to support the volunteers who work in the community for this growing charity, sponsors are asked to be generous. It will be a great morning out with fresh air, exercise and a bit of fun. To join in please ring 951 318 234 and leave your name and telephone number, or call in at the shop in Calle Zaragoza, Estepona for a sponsor form.

Age Concern, Estepona and Manilva, International Day

One of the annual events in Estepona is the First International Festival which, this year, is to be held on Sunday 22nd April in the Palacio de Congresos, Estepona. Age Concern runs a stall laden with fresh produce and sandwiches which is always a great success with local people. In order to keep the success going your help is needed in providing the produce to sell - cakes, sausage rolls, biscuits, sweets, jams, marmalade..., the list is endless.

To help us by pledging produce, or help on the day, call 951 318 234 and leave your name and telephone number - we will be in touch!

Age Concern, Estepona and Manilva, Shop

The Age Concern shop, in Calle Zaragoza, Estepona, is open from 10.00 to 13.30, Monday to Saturday inclusive. Two appeals for the shop are now being made.

Firstly more volunteers are being sought to help run the shop. If you have a few hours a week to spare and fancy trying your hand as a retailer why not give it a go with Age Concern. Ring 951 318 234 now and ask for a volunteer’s application form – the current volunteers are keen to meet you.

Secondly the shop urgently needs good quality bric-a-brac to display and sell. Please donate as much as you can of all the unwanted items you have at home. Donations can be taken directly to the shop, or call 951 318 234 and ask to speak to the duty manager.

Age Concern, Estepona and Manilva, Lifeline

For elderly people who require help or advice Age Concern operate a telephone service called Lifeline. This gives the individual a direct point of contact with the charity. The telephone number is 650163928.
