The Town Hall of Casares will be giving out cheques for the buying of school books, uniforms and sports clothes.

Casares

The object of this assistance is to reduce the cost per child for this years school term, the Town Hall of Casares invested 586,274 euros on education in 2006. Cheques became available as of the 3rd of September and are to be used for text books, uniforms and sports wear. Casares is a pioneer in this area and has been financing free text books since the year 2000 at an average cost of 36,000€ per school course. This expense has been reduced to 16,942€ as books are now only required for those students in 1st and 2nd  ESO (those not covered by the Junta de Andalucia).

These savings have been re-invested by buying school materials, uniforms and sports wear for all students at the CEIP Blas Infante school, a cost to the Town Hall of 11.186 euros.
