Make your medical appointment now via internet or text message from your mobile phone with the virtual office Intersas (‘INTERS@S’) of the Andalucian Public Health System. If you have visited your local health centre recently you may have seen leaflets giving some details of this service. 

INTERS@S is a Public Health System service of personal attention via Internet. Conceived as a virtual office, it aims to provide Andalucian citizens with personal information services and on-line procedures related to health care. To do so it uses technology which guarantees security in the transmission of information and the identity of the person accessing it. One of the aims of INTERS@S is that citizens can easily access all of the personal information that is useful to them. However, it is also necessary to prevent a non-authorised person from consulting or changing the data of another person. For this reason technology which guarantees security in the transmission of information and the identity of the person accessing it is used, including digital certificate and digital signature.

It has been possible to start up this service thanks to the development of information systems in the Andalucian Public Health System which focus on users. The connection of INTERS@S with these systems ensures that the data supplied is up to date and that all the changes that a user makes are incorporated immediately.

INTERS@S is part of the Plan of Strategic Initiatives for the Development of the Information Society (known as I@landalus) approved by the Governing Council of the Andalucian regional government on 23rd April, 2002. Through this service, the Regional Health Ministry and the Andalucian Health Service have joined the trend of increasing the offer of digital public services. The provision of services of certification by electronic signature is by virtue of an Agreement reached on 26th July, 2002, between the Andalucian Regional Government and the Royal Mint.

Ask for an appointment in five steps:
One – access the web page for the Andalucian Public and Health Service and locate INTERS@S www.juntadeandalucia.es/servicioandaluzdesalud
Two – Introduce the information requested for the person requiring the appointment in order to find out who their doctor is and in which health centre they are attended to.
Three – Decide on a date.  In INTERS@S you can make an appointment with your doctor or paediatrician on the day which is most convenient to you and up to one week in advance.
Four – Select a time.  INTERS@S will show you the appointments available and you can choose the time which suits you best.
Five – Check the details of the appointment.  Once you have made your appointment you can print proof of appointment which will include information on the place, day and time of the appointment.
