300 fighters from across Spain will compete in this weekend’s National Taekwondo Tournament in Estepona’s La Lobilla sportshall.
The tournament, Spain’s most prestigious of the year, is organised by Estepona’s Club Deportivo Taekwon-Do, in collaboration with Spanish International Taekwon-Do Federation (FITE), the Andalucian Taekwon-Do Association and Estepona Town Hall’s Sports Department.
The more than 300 competitors come from Galicia, Madrid, Valencia, Tenerife, Cádiz, Málaga, Benalmádena and Estepona, who are fielding some 75 competitors across all the categories.
Included in the Estepona contingent are black belts Andrea Salmerón and Marcos Román coming from their successes in the European Championships in Liverpool and World Championships in North Korea.
Spectators are welcome and entry is free.
