The crew of a Guardia Civil Customs Surveillance vessel has located human remains in one of its turbines.
The Guardia Civil have issued a press release stating that the vessel in question is now moored and sealed off at the port of Sotogrande.
Although the remains must be analysed to determine the identity of the deceased, it is believed that they correspond to one of the Moroccan fishermen missing after their boat sank on Tuesday near Ceuta.
The Customs patrol boat encountered navigational problems, and on inspection of the engines, found human remains in one of the turbines.
This vessel participated on Tuesday in a search and rescue mission for the crew of fourteen Moroccan fishermen whose vessel sank 32 miles east of Ceuta, where only five of its crew where rescued alive.
