Estepona Town Hall has signed the contract which will see the resumption of the town’s urban bus service after a two year lapse.
Due to come into effect on January 1, the contractor has one month in which to begin the service which involves three routes taking in the town centre and some of the urbanisations.
One route serves the town centre with buses every 30 minutes from 7 am to 9 pm serving some 20 stops.
A second route covers Estepona Port to the Urbanisation Mari Monte just by the Benahavis crossroads, also between 7 am and 9 pm. Both these routes are seven days a week, whilst a third route from the Town Centre to Las Joyas will operate from Monday to Friday.
Ticket prices range from 50 cents to 1.10 euros with discounts for the over 65s and under 25s, as well as discounted multi trip tickets also available.
