Estepona’s public transport service concessionaire, Autocares Ricardo, is going to expand the transport service with a new service that will connect the urban centre with the western part of the municipality. The service came into action from August 1 and will be in operation permanently.
The company will have three public transport lines in operation. Line 1 runs through the urban nucleus of Estepona in a circular route; line 2 leaves the port and arrives at the Mar y Monte urbanization in Isdabe at the eastern end of the municipality and, finally, line 3, which will leave the bus station and will reach the Bermuda Beach urbanization, in the area of Buenas Noches.
The extension of the coverage of this service will cover, therefore, the demand that exists to access the area of the urbanizations and hotels in the western part of the municipality. Also, this line will give users access to the future Hospital of Estepona, once it becomes operational.
The schedule of this third line, from Monday to Sunday (including holidays) will be as follows:
– Departure from the bus station: 7.10 am, 11.10 am, 5.50 pm and 8.40 pm.
– Departure from Bermuda Beach: 7.35 am, 11.35 am, 6.15 pm and 9.05 pm.
Ticket prices for the lines that cover the suburbs will be 1.40 euros from Bermuda Beach to the Palacio de Congresos and 1.10 euros from Beverly Hills to the Palacio de Congresos. Tickets for the circular line that runs through the urban centre are 1.10 euros and 0.60 if the voucher is used.
