37-year-old Andrew Stanley is an Irish comedian and TV personality best known for his appearances as host of hit RTÉ 2 TV show I Dare Ya. He has also featured on Neil Delameres Just For Laughs, RTÉ’s The Cafe, Podge and Rodge, Liffey Laughs and Tubridy Tonight.
The Scotsman newspaper described him as “a comic so clearly destined for the top, but with astonishingly good observational material delivered and timed to perfection there’s no doubt about the destination of the young Irishman’s career.”
Joining Andrew is character comedian Milo McCabe. With over ten years experience on the circuit, he has twice been nominated for the Amused Moose Best Edinburgh show award and was listed as GQ’s Top Ten comedy shows of the festival.
Milo will be appearing in the guiseof his alter ego Troy Hawke. Troy Hawke is an erudite homeschooled 1930’s throwback, the Errol Flynn of the high street. Educated, sophisticated, but utterly clueless. He tackles modern issues head on in his uniquely untimely manner. Describe by various critics as ‘undeniably funny’, ‘mad comic genius’, and ‘Near perfect character comedy’.
Completing the trio is Tom Houghton, a comedian, musician, presenter and former member of Improv comedy group and 9 times fringe veterans The Noise Next Door, he has now broken away on his own and is taking the comedy world by storm. He has already co presented on Virgin Tv’s “Comedy Binge” (Avalon), appeared in advert campaigns for “Toyota” and “Playstation 4”, appeared on “Channel 4’s comedy blaps” has composed Music for “Britain’s got More talent” and “that music show” and just bared all in “Channel Fours First Dates Hotel”. Live he has supported Daniel Sloss on Tour and performed at festivals such as Bestival, Latitude, Altitude, Off the Piste and 2000 trees. He regally appears on the comedy circuit both across the country and abroad including “The Comedy Club” “Glee”, “Komedia”, “Just the Tonic”, “Manfords”, “Up the Creek”. As well as across Europe in Switzerland and Austria. He has also hosted large scale corporate events for the likes of “Ernst and Young” and “Fujitsu” with his personally crafted musical songs and routines made specifically for the client. He was a finalist in the Leicester mercury Comedian of the year.
As part of The Noise Next Door he has appeared on BBC1, BBC3, ITV3, Channel 4 and Channel 5 in such programmes as “The One Show”, “Edinburgh Comedy fest Live”, “Secret interview” and “Its a small world – with Warrick Davis”. This August sees him bring his highly anticipated debut hour up to The Edinburgh festival.
Funny and charming, with roguish tales and hilarious songs, make sure you catch this rising star before he goes stratospheric.
